Description

Stowers is a mill house, likely built in the 17th or 18th century, which was remodeled and had its windows changed in the early 19th century. It features a tile roof with carved bargeboards on the east gable and a central brick chimney stack. The building has two-and-a-half storeys and is timber framed with a stucco front and a plain band at the first-floor level. The east gable has two light casement windows with cast-iron Gothick arched lights and glazing bars. There is a five-light, splayed bow window on the ground floor, also with Gothick glazing and a hipped tile roof. The openings on the other sides of the building have been altered.
