Description

The barn at Hatchgate Farm is an 18th-century structure. It features a timber frame with brick walls and a half-hipped tiled roof. The barn consists of five framed bays with aisles. There is a hipped gable on braces above the wagon entrance located in the center bay, and a raised center bay above the wagon entrance at the rear. Inside, the barn has queen post trusses with reducing purlins and aisle purlin supports, some of which are curved.
