Description

The Four Winds is a late 16th-century house with alterations from the 19th century. It is timber-framed, though the frame is now encased within brickwork. The roof is tiled, with a large central brick stack and two smaller stacks to the west. The house follows a lobby entrance plan. The east front has two storeys and garrets, featuring a four-window facade with casement windows having segmental heads. A central half-glazed door is situated beneath a 20th-century gabled porch. An 18th-century timber-framed extension projects from the rear, with a catslide roof. Internally, two framed bays are present, flanking a very large central brick stack.
