Description
Nos. 27 and 28 Charnham Street are terraced cottages dating from the 17th or 18th century. They feature a thatched roof and a central chimney. The building is constructed with brick, using grey headers and red stretchers on the first floor of No. 27, while the ground floor and No. 28 are finished with painted render. The cottages are two storeys high and have a three-light leaded casement window to the right of the centre and a four-light leaded casement window at the extreme right. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a large 20th-century shop window, a plain central door, and to the right, another 20th-century shop window, a simple door under a flat hood supported by cut brackets, and a two-light 20th-century window.
