Description

Nos. 21 and 23 on Pound Street are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century, which were refronted in 18th century brick. They feature an old tiled roof and two brick chimneys. The cottages are two storeys high. No. 21 has three bays of leaded casements, with three-light windows in the outer bays and a two-light window in the centre, all having segmental arched heads. There is a half-glazed door at the centre of the ground floor, along with a 20th-century canted bay window on the right, which includes transomed lights and a tiled roof. No. 23 has one bay with three-light leaded casements and a boarded door on the left, set in a heavy frame.
