Description
Lime Tree House is an 18th-century house located on the north side of Pound Street in Wendover. It is constructed of vitreous brick with red dressings and features rubbed red brick arches. The roof is made of old tiles and includes parapets, flanking chimneys, and two small flat-roofed dormers. A moulded cornice runs along the top, with lead rainwater pipes on either side that have decorative heads.
The house is two stories tall with an attic and has a three-bay front. On the first floor, there are three-light Venetian windows flanking a central sash window. The entrance features a six-panel central door topped by a small rectangular fanlight with a central lantern. This door is set within a wooden doorcase that has narrow engaged fluted columns supporting carved scroll brackets and a flat moulded hood, all approached by three stone steps. At the rear, there is a long wing with tiled and slate roofs.
