Description
Clapton Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with 18th and 19th century facing and an extension. The building is rendered on brick, featuring a roof of plain tiles at the front and slates at the back. It has an L-shaped plan with a central ridge chimney and an end chimney, and it stands two storeys tall.
The front elevation includes a band at the first floor level, three glazing bar sashes on the first floor, and one sash to the left of the ground floor. The entrance door and two tripartite sashes are located to the right. At the rear, the roof line is raised over the extension, which forms the arm of the L, and there is a catslide roof over the outshot between the arms of the L.
