Description
Manor Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with 18th-century additions. It is built of brick and features a hipped slate roof with a central chimney on the east side. The building has a double pile plan, with three storeys on the east and two on the west.
The east front has four widely spaced 19th-century glazing bar sash windows, a central door with a 20th-century pedimented doorcase, and an additional sash window to the right of the centre. There is a two-storey lean-to on the right with a central sash window. The west front displays two chimneys on the wall, with some 17th-century brickwork in corbelling at the base of the left-hand chimney. It also features 18th-century glazing bar sash windows with exposed box frames: one to the left of the left-hand chimney, two in the centre, and two to the right of the right-hand chimney.
Inside, there is some 17th-century panelling in the room to the left on the east side, and a large 17th-century turned newel stair with acorn finials in the western part of the building.
