Description
Dove House Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was recased in brick in the 18th century. It features 19th century sash windows. Inside, there is evidence of timber framing. The front, or north elevation, is made of brick, while the sides and rear are constructed from rubblestone. The building has old tile roofs and consists of three bays and two storeys. The right-hand bay is gabled and set forward. A modern lean-to porch with a tile roof is located between the left-hand bays. The windows include box sashes, with three panes in the left bay and five panes in the others, all set under segmental arches. There is a gable band on the right bay and casements on the side elevation. A stack is positioned between the left-hand bays, creating a lobby entry type plan. Inside, notable features include a chamfered fireplace lintel and chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
