Description

Foxhill Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse which was later faced with 18th-century rubble stone and brick, and is now colourwashed. It has a plain tile roof. The farmhouse originally comprised four bays and two storeys. The north, or entrance, front features a brick upper floor and a left bay. A modern gabled porch sits between the left-hand bays. Three-light casement windows are present in the three left bays, with gables above the first-floor windows. There are no windows in the right bay. A stack is located between bays two and three from the left. The left gable is constructed of old thin bricks and contains a 2-light 18th-century leaded casement window. Rear additions are present. Inside, the two inner bays reveal exposed timber framing with curved purlin braces, along with chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
