Description
No Name Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with additions from the 18th century. It is constructed of brick and has a pantiled roof. The original 17th-century block is roughly square in plan, consisting of two storeys and a dormer attic. The north gable features an early 20th-century casement window on the ground floor, a blocked first-floor window, and an unglazed 20th-century attic window. The east side is set on a brick plinth course and has a blocked central ground floor window, along with a first-floor sash window framed by a 17th-century brick architrave with flanking pilasters. The roof is gabled, and there is a stack at the southern internal gable end. The south gable has a lean-to outshut, with two blocked first-floor windows that have moulded brick 17th-century architraves and a platband above the eaves line. The interior has been greatly altered, featuring a roof with tie beams, one tier of butt purlins, and collars. Attached to the west wall is an 18th-century wing that is one storey with a dormer attic. The north side of this wing has three windows and two doors, all of which have been renewed. It has a gabled roof with three gabled dormers, one of which is blocked, and two ridge stacks.
