Description
High House Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed of brick and topped with a concrete tile roof. The building stands three storeys high and features three bays on its west facade. The central entrance consists of a panelled door set within a timber case, topped by a five-vaned fanlight. A squat hood supported by two consoles shelters the door. On the ground floor, there are two well-preserved three-light late 18th century casement windows, each set under segmental arches with skewbacks. The first and second floor windows were replaced with UPVC in 1983, designed to match the original style. The segmental skewback arches and window openings remain intact. The farmhouse is finished with a modillion timber eaves cornice and has a gabled roof featuring internal gable end stacks.
