Description
The Church of All Saints is a parish church located in Fleggburgh. The nave and west tower are in the Perpendicular style and are in a ruinous condition. The chancel has origins from the 15th century but was largely rebuilt in 1872. The church is constructed from Quaternary and Quarry Flint, with Lincolnshire Limestone ashlar dressings and some chalk elements. The chancel features a thatched roof.
The large square tower has three stages and is supported by diagonal buttresses. There are jagged holes in the walls that indicate the former positions of windows, and a full set of lined putlog holes can be seen. The gabled south porch is made of knapped flints, with a wave-moulded entrance arch and an ogeed statuary niche above, which is set beneath a square hood.
Inside the nave, there are large three-light Perpendicular windows, with some surviving fragments of tracery. To the north, the newel and parts of the rood stairs remain in place. The chancel is still in use and has two two-light Y-traceried windows on the south side, with an arched priests' door between them. There is also one two-light ogeed window on the north side and a three-light intersecting window on the east.
The interior of the chancel features a scissor-braced roof from the 19th century and an octagonal font from the 15th century, which has traceried stem panels and plain recessed bowl panels.
