Description

Geddings Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with 18th and 19th century details. It is a two-storey building with four windows and consists of two sections. The structure is made of clunch and carstone with brick dressings, and it is whitewashed with a red pantiled roof. The garden front, which is the 17th century part to the east, features 19th century casements with one, two, and three lights. On the first floor, there are two casements with two lights and one plate glass sash with a single glazing bar division. There is evidence of blocked long and low brick-dressed windows that were original to the house. The building has brick end quoins, and a line of brick built into the first floor suggests the original height of the eaves and an earlier roof.

The 18th century addition to the west includes a ground floor five-sided single storey bay with an 18th century sash featuring thick glazing bars. To the west, there is one ground and one first floor sash with glazing bars. The end quoins are made of cut carstone. The west side has a hipped gable, while the east side is verged; there are axial and east end stacks. Attached to the east is a single storey wing that is also whitewashed and has a red pantiled roof.
