Description
The Cliff Hotel is a mid-19th century building located on Portsmouth Road in Woolston. It is two storeys high with attics and features a stuccoed exterior. The roof is mansarded and covered with slate, and it has two dormers. The building has a moulded cornice and a central pediment, along with a stringcourse. There are three sash windows with glazing bars that are mostly intact. The entrance has a simple doorcase with pilasters and a cornice. To the left, there is a one-bay extension that includes a tripartite window. On the right side, there is a later 19th-century addition with a hipped slate roof and pilasters. The hotel also has a late 19th-century bar front.
