Description
The Elms Hotel is an early 19th-century detached house located on London Road. It is constructed of stucco and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys, with one-storey wings and additional extensions at the rear. The main façade includes five windows, while the wings each have one window. The central window on the first floor is a full-length opening that leads to a small balcony, which is protected by a modern iron guard, situated above a rectangular porch. The wide eaves have a panelled soffit. The entrance features a half-glazed door with a traceried fanlight and a rectangular porch supported by Greek Doric columns, also with a panelled soffit. The side wings have glazing bars. Inside, the hotel boasts well-designed doors, plaster friezes, and ceilings.
