Description

The Fives Court war memorial, erected in 1924, is a structure dedicated to those who served in the military. It is built of red brick with stone copings. The memorial features a back wall that stands 4 meters high, with left and right stone-coped walls that curve downwards to pillar-like stops at the front. On the exterior of the left flank wall, there is a dedication stone that reads: "IN MEMORY OF CAPT. WILLIAM EYRE,/ WHO DIED OF WOUNDS/ AUGUST 19th 1916/ THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE."

Inside, the memorial has a rendered surface painted in grey and blue bands, and it features a hard floor.
