Description

No. 23 Broad Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a roof made of interlocking tiles. The building stands three storeys high and has one wide bay. The late 19th century shop front surround is notable, along with a late 20th century door on the right and late 20th century infill on the left. On the first floor, there is a tripartite canted oriel window with sashes, flanked by pilasters that divide the lights, and topped with a frieze and cornice. The second floor has two sashes set beneath flat gauged brick arches. A moulded brick cornice is present, along with a stone coped parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
