Description

Two bollards are located at the north side of the junction with Bathing Lane in Portsmouth. These bollards are made from cast iron and are shaped like cannon barrels, likely dating from the early 19th century. They were re-used as bollards probably in the mid to late 19th century. Each bollard features a tapering barrel set on end, with the barrel at the corner of the building being smaller than the other.
