Description

This early 19th-century house is located on Bath Square in Portsmouth. The exterior is stuccoed, with a concealed roof hidden behind parapets. The house is two storeys and one bay wide. A door is located on the left side and features an overlight. Above the door is a tripartite sash window with a central 24-pane sash flanked by 12-pane sashes, all under a bracketed frieze and cornice. Pilasters support this cornice at the doorway and the right corner of the building. A first-floor canted-oriel window has a central 16-pane sash and side sashes with 18 panes each; it features a moulded sill, paired pilasters separating the lights, a frieze, and a cornice above. A 16-pane sash window is located on the second floor, set within a recessed architrave and surround. A cornice and coped parapet top the building. The interior has not been inspected.
