Description

This early 19th-century house is located on Castle Road, Southsea, Portsmouth. It has a stucco facade and an interlocking tiled roof. The house is two storeys high and features one bay. The right-hand side contains a six-panelled door with a fanlight, set within a round-headed recess that has a vermiculated keystone. To the left of the door is a tripartite canted bay window with 20th-century top-hung casements. Above this window is a deep moulded cornice and low 20th-century guard rails on the bay roof. The first floor has a 20th-century sash window with shutters. A moulded band course runs across the facade above the windows, and the top is finished with a coped parapet. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
