Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century house built of red brick in English bond. It has paired hipped roofs covered in plain tiles, with a brick stack on the right side. The house is three storeys high and has one wide bay. A two-leaf front door is on the left, each door having three moulded panels. To the right of the main door is a half-glazed door with four moulded panels below; an overlight with small panes of glass is above each doorway. An early 19th century shopfront is between the doors, featuring three round-headed windows separated by colonnettes and a boarded panel below. The doorways and window are set between incised, panelled pilasters. A cornice and fascia run over the shopfront. A rectangular oriel window is on the first floor, with an eight-pane sash in the centre and four-pane sashes on either side, with incised pilaster strips dividing the lights. A frieze and cornice run above. The second floor has four-pane sashes set beneath gauged brick arches, with a painted mural between them. Ends of iron tie-rods are visible. A brick band runs along the front, topped by a stone-coped parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
