Description
The Seagull Restaurant is a public house, now functioning as a restaurant, built around 1910 and altered since. It is attributed to GV Inkpen. The ground floor features brown glazed tiles, while the upper level is timber-framed with stucco infill. The building has a plain tile roof with a central brick stack and stands two stories tall, comprising two sets of two bays with corner turrets. The entrance, originally a round-headed door, has been converted into a window, flanked by two round-headed sash windows. Above, there is a frieze and a projecting cornice. The corner turret is decorated in black and white 'half timbered' style, topped with a spirelet, and features a gable on the right and a return on the left. Windows are set between the timber framing, and there are decorative patterns on the stucco panels below the turret eaves. The left return of the building is similar, with an entrance door on the right and three round-headed windows to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
