Description
No. 22 Grove Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with some flared headers and features an old tile roof with a brick stack. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The front has a late 18th-century six-panelled door set within a pedimented doorway that is flanked by pilasters. There are timber lintels above late 18th-century sash windows, except for a concrete lintel over a late 18th-century tripartite sash window to the right of the door. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and gabled on the right, with a ridge stack. The left side wall includes a segmental arch over a late 19th-century four-panelled door that is next to a late 19th-century boarded shop front. The interior has not been inspected.
