Description
No. 6 Grove Street is a town house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and is built of flared Flemish bond brick with red brick quoins and dressings. The building features an old tile roof and brick stacks. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a five-window range. There is a flat hood over a 18th-century six-panelled door set in a beaded architrave. The ground floor has 20th-century plate glass windows with gauged brick segmental arches and half-H aprons, while the first floor has sash windows. A red brick storey band and a coved cornice are also present. An inserted 20th-century raking dormer is located on the gabled roof, which has gable end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
