Description
No. 16 Mill Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building features flared Flemish bond brickwork with red brick quoins and dressings. The front has a 20th-century tile roof, while the rear retains its original 18th-century roof and there are no stacks. The layout is a two-unit plan, which has been remodeled in the 20th century. The building stands two storeys high and has a four-window range. The shop front is from the 20th century, and there are segmental header arches above the first-floor late 19th-century horned sash windows. The eaves are adorned with red brick dentils, and the roof is gabled. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
