Description

41 Mill Road is a mid-17th century, or possibly earlier, box-framed house with brick nogging and a thatched roof. It has one storey and attics, with some 19th century alterations. The roof is half hipped at one end and features fully exposed framing, suggesting it may have originally been a long house. On the attic floor, there are two two-light casements that have been cut through the eaves. The ground floor has three two-light wooden casements and a modern thatched porch. The east hipped gable end includes one older iron frame casement on the first floor and a three-light window on the ground floor. The rear of the house has irregular casements. Numbers 37 to 41 Mill Road form a group.
