Description

Little Thatches is a house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. It is partly timber-framed and partly brick, with weatherboarding over the ground-floor brick and rendered sections. The roof is thatched. The building has an L shape, comprising two bays at the front and one bay to the rear. It is one storey high with an attic. The front has two fixed casement windows with drop shutters: a three-light window to the left and a single-light window to the right. There are two dormers, each with two lights. A stack is located at the left end, with weatherboarding above the ground-floor brick. Two later entrances have been added; one is within a glazed projection with a tiled hood, and the other is in a weatherboarded gabled porch. The right end is rendered, with one bay extending to the rear right and containing a two-light casement window in the rear attic. A lean-to outshut is attached to the rear of the left bay.
