Description

Rose Cottage and Spring Cottage are two houses dating from the 18th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and are weatherboarded, featuring a steeply pitched tiled roof. The buildings consist of four bays and are one storey with an attic. There are two entrances located at the center within a lean-to projection that has a catslide roof extending from the main roof. Spring Cottage, which is the larger of the two, has broadly spaced bays. Both cottages have glazing bar horizontal sashes and gabled dormers, with ridge stacks positioned at the center of each cottage. To the left, there is a lower outshut that is set back. The rear of the cottages includes four large dormers, along with 20th-century additions.
