Description

37 and 39 Mill Road are a pair of late 17th century cottages that are timber framed with a painted brick front. They are one storey high with an attic and feature a thatched roof that is half hipped at one end. An exposed tie beam can be seen in the hipped end, and box framing is visible at the rear. The cottages have three casement windows that are cut into the thatch on the attic floor. There is a plain door with a 19th century gabled wooden porch. Most of the timber frame is concealed internally. Nos 37 to 41 (odd) form a group.
