Description

No. 79 High Street is an early 19th-century, three-storey brick house with a stucco-covered front. It features a shallow pitched slate roof with deep eaves supported by paired brackets. The building has two windows on each floor, with sash windows set in reveals and plain cills. A large double cornice is present over the ground floor, which has been finished in grey mosaic. To the left of the façade, there is a doorcase with a rectangular light above it. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 79, 81, 81A, 83, and 87 to 103 (odd), while Nos. 99 and 101 are noted for local interest only.
