Description
Number 90 High Street is a 17th century building that has been altered over time. It is two stories tall, constructed of brick with a stucco front, and features an early tiled roof with a very steep pitch that is slightly tented at the base. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and includes one hipped dormer. Notable architectural details include a deep modillioned eaves cornice and flush framed windows on the first floor, which have thin architraves and upper sashes with glazing bars. The shop front is a recent wooden addition. At the rear, there is a tiled extension that also has one dormer. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 62 to 86 (even), as well as Nos 66A, 70A, and 86A, Nos 88 to 106 (even), and the former St Anthony Franciscan preparatory school.
