  1. Mid C18. Former Gate Inn. Refronted 1872. 3 storeys, taller than Nos 2-10. red brick front. 2 windows with elliptical arches on 2nd floor and round arches on 1st floor. Stone keystones of 1st floor read 1872. Bracketted stone cills on let and 2nd floors. Sash windows - square with round glazing in heads. 2 shop fronts - No 10A has 2 shallow 5 light bays with plate glass. Rear of building is stone with brick dressings and quoins. 3 windows, cambered heads on let flow; very small old window in centre of 2nd flow. High old tile roof with some horizontal banding in red tiles. Brick outbuildings with some timbering.

The Public Hall and Nos 2 to 24 (even), 24a, 26 and 28 form a group of which Nos 14, 16 and 20 are of local interest.
