Description
Number 18 on High Street is an 18th-century building with an early 19th-century front. It has two storeys and features two windows. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled. The front is plastered, with three-light sash windows on the first floor and a sash window to the right on the ground floor, which has a cement head with an incised key. There is a central doorway that is pilastered and has a bracketed overhang, which is connected to a shop window on the right. This shop window is flanked by thin pilasters and has bay windows. The overhang is decorated with bobbin moulding. The building is part of a group that includes the Public Hall and Nos 2 to 24 (even), 24a, 26, and 28, with Nos 14, 16, and 20 being of local interest.
