Description
Nos. 2 and 4 Broadway is an early 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with attics, featuring a plastered front and a tiled roof. The façade has six windows, two of which are blocked, with flush frames and glazing bars. There are three dormers adorned with moulded cornices and pediments. The building includes an early 19th-century wooden double shop front that showcases Gothick arched windows and pilasters supporting an entablature with a projecting cornice. A passage entrance is located at the west end. The rear elevation is made of good red brick, complete with a cornice, floor bands, and original windows. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 6 (even), Nos. 12, 14, 16, and Nos. 20 to 32 (even), as well as Nos. 1 to 17 (odd) and Nos. 1 and 23 Crown Street.
