Nos. 6 and 8 Merryland are 18th century and early 19th century buildings located on the north side of Merryland. They are two storeys tall with attics, featuring brick or plastered fronts and tiled roofs. No. 8, which is the north-east elevation, has three storeys and a slate roof. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos. 2, 4, 8, 10, and Nos. 14 to 18 (even) Crown Street, as well as Nos. 6 to 10 (even), 12B, and Nos. 14 to 18 (even), which form a group with No. 1 Lord Nelson Inn and No. 9.
