Description
Nelsons Head is an 18th-century public house located on the south side of Merryland. The building has two storeys with attics and is constructed of brick with a pebble-dash finish. It features a mansard tile roof and a symmetrically designed front. The facade includes three windows in the middle with semi-elliptical heads and glazing bars. The doorway is supported by shaped brackets and has a hood that extends across the bay window on either side. There are also two flat-topped dormers. This building forms a group with Nos. 6 to 10 (even), 12B, and Nos. 14 to 18 (even), as well as No. 1, Lord Nelson Inn, and No. 9.
