Nos. 16 and 18 Merryland, along with 2 Bridge Street, are early 19th-century buildings that have been altered over time. They stand three storeys high and feature dormers, with a tiled roof and constructed from gault brick. Each building has two windows, with recessed sash windows that have gauged segmental brick arches. Notably, No. 18 includes a bay window at the first-floor level and has a later 19th-century shop front. These properties are part of a group that includes Nos. 2, 4, 8B, 10, and 14 to 18 (even) along with Nos. 6 and 8 Merryland.
