Description

The north east elevation of Number 8 Merryland is an early 19th century building. It has two storeys and features two windows, topped by a slated roof. The exterior is made of painted brick and includes square-headed, recessed sash windows with original glazing bars on the first floor. The ground floor has an original segmental-bowed shop window, which is flanked by pilasters that support a projecting cornice. This shop window is composed of small panes and is accompanied by a segmented arched doorway. Number 8 Merryland is part of a group that includes Numbers 2, 4, 8B, 10, and 14 to 18 (even), along with Numbers 6 and 8 Merryland.
