Description
10 Crown Street is an early 19th-century building that has been altered. It stands three storeys tall and features two windows. The slate roof has projecting eaves, and the exterior is made of painted brick. The building has gauged flat brick arches above recessed sash windows, which still retain their original glazing bars. The wooden double-fronted shop has reeded pilasters that support an entablature with a projecting cornice. The former segmental-bowed shop windows have been altered, as have the former shop and house doorways, which included fanlights. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 2, 4, 8B, 10, and Nos. 14 to 18 (even), along with Nos. 6 and 8 Merryland.
