Description
No. 5 Crown Street is a building dating from around 1720. It stands three storeys high and is constructed of red brick with rubbed brick dressings. The façade features moulded bands between the storeys and a moulded brick cornice topped with a parapet. There are four windows with segmental heads, glazing bars, and shutters. The doorway is adorned with a moulded wooden hood supported by carved scroll brackets, leading to an 8-panelled door, two of which have modern leaded glazing. The property is also enclosed by cast iron railings with urn finials. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 1 to 17 (odd), Nos. 21 and 23, as well as Nos. 2 to 6 (even), Nos. 12, 14, 16, and Nos. 20 to 32 (even) Broadway.
