Description

Home Farmhouse is an 18th-century house, dated 1700 on a stone above the porch. It is constructed of rubble stone with dressed stone quoins and a chimney stack on the left-hand gable wall. The roof is covered with old tiles, and the right gable features stone coping. The building has two storeys and three brick chimneys.

The south elevation has two gabled projections at the center, each adorned with 19th-century shaped bargeboards and finials. On the left, there is a porch featuring a six-panel door, with three upper panels glazed, set within an open trellis porch. Above, there is a two-light casement window on the first floor, and a datestone is located in the tympanum. The right gable has a three-light casement window on the ground floor and two sash windows on the first floor, with all windows having painted wood lintels.

To the left of the porch, there are two bays of three-light casements and a square brick bay window on the left ground floor. On the right, there are three bays, with the leftmost bay featuring a lean-to slate-roofed bay window on the ground floor and a three-light casement above. There is a modern door and window on the right, and beyond this is an attached barn from the 19th century, made of stone with a slate roof, featuring a central cart entrance with a brick relieving arch and arrowslit vents on each side.
