Description

No. 33 Northampton Road is a house dating from 1690 that has been altered. It is constructed of stone and features a steeply pitched roof that was originally thatched but is now covered with corrugated iron sheets. The gable ends are coped with stone, and there are flanking brick chimneys. The house is two storeys high. The north front has two bays containing four-pane wide sash windows with painted lintels and keyblocks. There is a central door set in a plain doorcase with a flat hood above it. A painted datestone above the door is inscribed with "F.I. 1690." To the left, there is a one-storey wing that has two casement windows and a roof also made of corrugated iron sheets.
