CASTLETHORPE HANSLOPE ROAD Castlethorpe Lodge

Farmhouse. Probably C17 but much altered, especially in early C19. Coursed limestone rubble. Hipped tiled roofs, slated to south pitch. 2 storeys plus attic. Letter L plan. South elevations with sashes, 3-pane to left, 4-pane to centre and tripartite to right. Door between left hand windows without bracket hood and Gothic supports added. Oak lintels. 2 dormers. End stacks. West elevation to road of 3 bays. Casements to left hand bays, tripartite sash at right. 1st floor with 4-pane sashes flanking centre casements. 2 dormers. Roof lower than south range. Lean to at left. Attached at north is low stone dairy with a tiled roof arid parallel to it a brick range with a slate roof and pigeon- holes in the south gable.
