Description

Nos. 12 and 14 on North Street are two cottages that may have originally been three almshouses, dating from the 17th century and refronted in the 19th century. They are constructed of coursed rubblestone and feature a roof made of concrete interlocking tiles. The buildings are two storeys high with three gables facing the road, and there are doors situated between the bays. The windows are three-pane wide sashes. At the back, there are three large brick stacks on the ridges, each with three diamond-shaped shafts and offset heads.
