Description

Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with significant alterations in the early 19th century and the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with red brick detailing. The roof is concrete tiled and hipped to the north, featuring two small ridge stacks. The building has an L-shaped layout. A lobby entrance is at the front, which is a single-storey structure with an attic. The front has four bays, with a limestone ground floor raised on a red brick base. There is a doorway to the left, with a wooden lintel and a partially glazed door. Two two-light casement windows are on the right, also with wooden lintels. A smaller fixed light is to the left. Two 20th-century dormer windows are set under a common raking head, each containing three-light casements. Inside, there are chamfered beams with run-out stops and triangular stops. A large inglenook fireplace is on the left, featuring a chamfered bressumer and post.
