Description
The carriage house and tack room at The Old Vicarage, now used as garages, was built in 1836 with 20th-century alterations. It features coursed limestone rubble, some limestone ashlar, and red brick dressings. The hipped pantile roof has decorative brick eaves. The building is single storey with a four-bay front and brick quoins. On the left side, there are two carriage openings with segmental heads, both dressed in red brick; the left opening was replaced in the 20th century. Each opening has an ashlar keystone, with the right one inscribed "1836." To the right, there is a doorway with a semi-circular head, a fanlight, and a plank door, along with a fixed glazing bar window beyond. This structure is included for its group value only.
