Description

Knighton Farm Cottage is a cottage dated 1694, featuring the initials IC above the entrance. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble with brick dressings. The building has a half-hipped slate roof and an off-central brick chimneystack. The cottage is two storeys high and has a window arrangement of 2:3. The first-floor windows are renewed casements with red brick dressings, while the ground floor features a very long drip moulding that includes all three windows. The ground floor windows also have original moulded architraves. There is a two-centred arched stone doorway, and the rear of the cottage has a catslide roof.
