Description

The gatepiers at Knighton Waterworks date from the 18th century. They are two square gatepiers made of rusticated ashlar, each approximately 10 feet high. Each pier features a moulded cornice topped with a cap of state. These gatepiers flank the carriage drive that once led to the house known as Knighton Gorges, which was demolished in 1821.
