Description

This is a chest tomb dedicated to Reverend John Barwis M.A., located approximately 4 metres south of the south porch at John the Baptist Church in Niton and Whitwell. It dates from the early 19th century and features end fluted pilasters and panels adorned with a sunray design at the corners. The tomb is topped with a moulded flat slab that bears an inscription.
